Life Crossings Academy currently serves students in grades 4-12, offering individualized, Bible-based academic instruction through unique methods, so that each may reach his or her highest potential for success in life.
A customized program is developed for each, after an assessment of academic level, learning style, learning strengths, talents, interests, and disposition. On a talent search with each child, we pledge to discover what gifts and abilities they bring to the learning envirornment and give intentional effort to insure learning success. We celebrate the uniquenesses of each one-of-a-kind miracle from God, and facilitate exploration of how these talents will be useful in school, family, and community environment.
Because we are each called to live and serve in community, Life Crossings Academy will focus on the essential elements of character, cooperation, and relationship, developing habits of success in these essential areas of life, as well.
Educational Philosophy
-We believe all students are "fearfully and wonderfully made," created on purpose and with a purpose in God's world.
-We believe all students are talented in fascinating ways and may best develop their God-given potential in an individualized learning environment.
-We believe that the teacher's role is to assess and identify the learning style of each student and to coordinate learning resources to meet individual needs and talents.
-We believe the focus of such a program is appropriately placed upon ongoing assessment of student learning rather than adherence to a pre-determined teaching plan.
Unique Methods
We have strategically selected the curriculum, teaching style, and room arrangement to:
-Motivate academic potential through individualized curriculum and attention.
-Facilitate concentration with personal study carrels while still maintaining group atmosphere and activities.
-Control student-teacher ratio in order to complete most schoolwork during school hours to encourage a balanced family lifestyle.
-Help students realize self-confidence and success through identification of God-given talents and strengths.
The individual study in the academic subjects is balanced with interactive projects, group learning opportunities, curriculum enhancements and community service.
ACE Curriculum
Accelerated Christian Education's curriculum is individualized. It allows students to work at their own level of achievement, which may vary from subject to subject.
The ACE curriculum provides academic excellence, skill building, character/wisdom training, and knowledge of God, His Word, and His work in the lives of men.
Life Crossings Academy adds the Learning Style emphasis to unlock and develop the self-motivated, eager learner in every child.
Life Crossings Academy is a member of the Association of Christian Schools, International. Student achievements are fully accredited and transferable to any school, college, or post-secondary program.
